What makes the PicoSure FOCUS Lens Array so special?
Unlike traditional lasers that use photothermal action (heat), PicoSure’s ultra-short pulse create an intense photomechanical impact (known as PressureWaveTM). This creates shockwaves in the dermis which induces the production of new crisp collagen and elastin with no damage to the skin.
The FOCUS Lens Array treatment is quick and gentle, with only 10% of the skin being treated at the high energy Picosecond focus level during each pulse. The remaining 90% of surrounding tissue is treated with a lower-fluence for a gentler background effect. This allows a deeper penetration to the dermis area under the skin, promoting new collagen and elastin growth whilst also stimulating a non-traumatic tissue healing response (which also has the effect of softening the tissue from acne scars and stretch marks).

Consultations require a £50 deposit, which is deducted from any future treatments. 48 hours notice is required to move or cancel an appointment, or the deposit is forfeited at our discretion.

FAQs
How often do you need skin rejuvenation treatments?
You can have a treatment every week if you like, or you can have it as a one-off treatment if you’re going somewhere special. For maintenance, once every 4 to 6 weeks is advisable.
What is the minimum age for laser treatment?
18 years.
Does it hurt? What does it feel like?
Most people describe the feeling as a tingling sensation but find the treatments tolerable. Many of our clients report that the PicoSure FLA is the most comfortable laser treatment they’ve ever had.
What about aftercare?
We provide you with an aftercare leaflet on the day of your treatment. The main advice to note is to avoid sun exposure (including sun beds) for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. If it’s not possible to avoid the sun then don’t stay exposed for long periods and always use a sunscreen of a minimum SPF30 on exposed areas.
Avoid hot baths/showers, saunas, swimming pools, creams, body lotions, perfumes and restrictive clothing for 48 hours after your treatment.
How quickly will I recover? Will I need time off work?
Your skin will appear a little red for a few hours only as you can see in this picture. There’s no need to take time off work and you can resume your daily activities as normal straight away.
Are there any side effects?
Just the natural redness of your skin which starts to subside within hours of treatment!
