What was the reason for getting your tattoo in the first place?
“It was a dare by my brother and his friend who thought I would be too scared to get one!”
What was the reason for wanting your tattoo removed?
“In my opinion a lot of people got tattoos in the 2000s and thought they would want them for ever. As a grown up that feeling has changed. They look awful in my opinion and I really regret ever getting one.”
And when did you first start to think about getting it removed?
“When my five year old son asked me why he couldn’t draw on himself when I had.”
What attracted you to the PicoSure laser over other available removal treatments?
“The speed of removal means less treatments. As I was travelling from Exeter to burnley for the treatment the least number of trips the better. Also the less treatments the lower the risk of skin injury.”
What worries (if any) did you have prior to the treatment?
“How much it would hurt!”
And how was your first treatment?
“I had two tattoos to deal with. The one on my leg was almost pain free. The one on my stomach felt very painful to me so a mixed experience. You do soon forget this discomfort when you see results which were visible after the first treatment.”
How comfortable did you find the laser treatment (the actual sensation from the laser) and what did it compare to?
“I found the treatment on my leg to be pretty pain free. My stomach did hurt quite a lot but Andrea was very patient and understanding and let me take a lot of breaks. She also prepares the area well beforehand. To be honest it was worth it to be rid of the tattoo. It feels no more painful than getting a tattoo!”
Were you satisfied with the results and would you recommend the PicoSure laser treatment to your friends?
“Genuinely amazed with the results. I struggle to even remember where it was! Couldn’t recommend the treatment enough if you want to rid yourself of a lifelong error.”
Any other thoughts, comments?
“I would highly recommend Andrea for PicoSure treatment. She is very professional and friendly. She had lots of advice on how to approach the treatments and aftercare and also how to time treatments to minimise costs. Her advice was spot on and I am left with no scarring and a tattoo that can no longer be seen. ”
